Pseudo Science Fair - (Year 0.0)

Celebrating the science in fiction – Oct 13-15 2017 – Dayton Convention Center

PSF is a science fair, full of things that don’t exist …yet. We are dedicated to the small space between fantasy and reality, called, science fiction.

Remember Junior High science fair? It was probably your first taste of self-directed study. You got to grow things, build things, break, smash and measure things, all in the name of scientific study.

Now take that same sense of wonder add in generous amounts of Gene Roddenberry, Stan Lee, HP Lovecraft and HG Wells and you have Pseudo Science Fair. All the fun of regular science, without the burden of proof!

Do you have a secret invisibility formula that is just missing a single ingredient? What about a transporter that will only transport key lime pies? We want to see your “not quite working” death ray and your gene-spliced, mutant Bat-dogs, that will one day help you take over the city, and then, THE WORLD!!! (BHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA!!!!).

  1. Build your exhibit
  2. Present your (very safe and legal) pseudo-science project with gusto
  3. Possibly win a prize
  4. Take over the world
  5. Profit

Mission Statement:

To promote the arts and sciences, locally and nationally by creating relationships in both communities through entertainment and discussion.

PSF is an exploration of science in popular media. Providing a platform for discussion and innovation. Celebrating science fiction in order to one day make it science fact.
